I use a Laser pen to stimulate acupuncture points – either in combination with needles or instead of – especially in sensitive, timid and needle-shy animals. I have found the laser to be an extremely useful tool. Most animals completely relax and almost look forward to a treatment session. The Laser pen has a variety of frequency settings to enable the laser light to penetrate into different tissues and stimulate at different tissue depths. It can also be used to provide local analgesia and reduce inflammation in sore joints and tissues due to acute or chronic injuries or illnesses.
